This
Program is designed to get to know and to appreciate by kayaking, the three
main habitats of Patagonia. The temperate forests in the Andes Mountain Range –
the highlight being the ancient Alerce tree, paddling in the lakes that compose
Los Alerces National Park and crossing Lakes and Rivers of transparent waters.
We
leave the Andes, taken by the waters of the River Chubut crossing the steppe,
with it’s magnificent geology represented by big walls that form the homonymous
valley. We will dazzle ourselves with imposing landscapes and the continuous
turns that the rivers gives along the journey. We will observe several species
of birds and characteristic habitats of the patagonian steppe.
To
conclude we will arrive to the ocean where we will navigate the waters of the
San José gulf. We will enjoy beautiful bays, cliffs loaded with traces of marine
life of the past and mainly the marine fauna that is along this costs, such as:
sea lions colonies, elephant seal
colonies, colonies of marine birds and the presence of the Southern Right
Whale, this being an important reproduction area of this species.
This
way we will have carried out a journey along the Geography of the Province of
Chubut, fully enjoying vast landscapes in a unique journey in contact with the
nature, learning and getting to know in depth.
